Hotel Suli

The hotel was designed for Sulaymania city in Kurdistan, Iraq and is now under construction. For FIMA it represents one of the first project abroad and one of the most important for the compositional interior space point of view. In fact, the exterior was partially already designed and built, so FIMA took care of the interior spaces and modified the outdoor space architecture. The internal structure was extremely intrusive, so FIMA tried to interact with it, making it the main compositional element of the interior, covering all the pillars and beams with wood using parametric drawings. FIMA also supervised the constriction supervision directly in Kurdistan through its own architects posted on the site. The furnishings and the main materials are all made in Italy
